Overview
Sandy Alexander, a commercial printing and visual merchandising company headquartered in New Jersey, needed to improve visibility of its remote workers, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. It set out to replace and consolidate its legacy systems with a more secure alternative that would allow it to continue to enjoy the ease of management that comes with its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications.
Sandy Alexander selected FortiSASE, the Fortinet secure access service edge (SASE) system, which it integrated with FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs), Fortinet Secure SD-WAN (software-defined wide area networking), FortiClient endpoint protection, and other Fortinet solutions. The company also deployed the FortiWeb Cloud web application firewall (WAF)-as-a-Service for protecting public-facing web-based applications, and FortiGuard Security Operations Center (SOC)-as-a-Service to ensure that outside experts are monitoring its security environment around the clock. As a result, the company has increased visibility of remote workers, improved connectivity for employees, and enhanced its overall security posture.
